BÔTAN

From estate to table.
From estate to table.
From estate to table.
Most non-alcoholic drinks begin with what they take away.
BÔTAN begins with what it grows.
On La Garenne, a three-hectare family estate in Belgium, herbs, flowers and botanicals are cultivated, harvested by hand and distilled within hours of leaving the field. The land has been free from pesticides for more than three centuries, and BÔTAN controls the entire journey from cultivation to distillation and blending.
It makes BÔTAN something genuinely different: the world’s first single-estate non-alcoholic distillery.
There is no dealcoholisation. No synthetic flavouring. No attempt to create a gin or wine and then remove the alcohol. Instead, BÔTAN builds its liquids from the ground up, using its own botanicals to create complex, gastronomic expressions shaped by terroir, season and craft.
Founder Timothy Peeters began exploring the idea in 2017 from a simple observation: the world of fine dining treated wine and spirits with extraordinary attention to origin, craftsmanship and ritual, while non-alcoholic drinks were rarely afforded the same respect.
BÔTAN set out to change that.

BÔTAN set out to change that.

The result is a collection of terroir-distilled apéritifs and cuvées designed not simply as alternatives to alcoholic drinks, but as gastronomic experiences in their own right. The bottle is presented at the table. The liquid is poured with intention. The story, ritual and provenance become part of the experience.
And rather than chasing ubiquity, BÔTAN has deliberately built its presence through gastronomy and luxury hospitality. Its partner venues already represent 124 Michelin stars, alongside names such as Cheval Blanc Paris and Orient Express.

That foundation gives BÔTAN something increasingly valuable: credibility in the places where new drinking cultures are often shaped first.
And from that foundation, the ambition is much bigger. To bring a new generation of sophisticated non-alcoholic drinking to more markets, more occasions and more people around the world.
Because BÔTAN is not trying to recreate what drinking used to be without alcohol.
It is helping shape what fine drinking could become next.
