When people think of Mexican spirits, they think of agave. Tequila. Mezcal. Yet for centuries, another spirit has been quietly growing in one of the most unforgiving landscapes on earth.

Sotol.
Distilled not from agave, but from the wild Dasylirion plant, sotol has been part of northern Mexico’s culture for thousands of years. Indigenous communities relied on the resilient desert plant long before distillation arrived, while generations of vinateros preserved its craft through revolution, prohibition and decades of obscurity.
Nocheluna was created to bring this remarkable spirit back into the spotlight.

Harvested exclusively from wild Dasylirion plants that mature naturally over 12 to 15 years in the Chihuahuan Desert, each plant absorbs the minerals, vegetation and climate of its surroundings, creating a spirit unlike any other Mexican distillate. Fresh, vegetal and vibrant, Nocheluna combines citrus, herbs, cacao and earthy minerality into a flavour profile that is both distinctive and remarkably versatile.

Behind the liquid is an exceptional collaboration.
Fourth-generation Maestro Vinatero Don Lalo Arrieta contributes generations of family knowledge, working alongside sotol explorer Ricardo Pico and Casa Lumbre co-founder and master distiller Dr. Iván Saldaña to create a modern expression that remains deeply rooted in tradition. Musician, actor and creative icon Lenny Kravitz joined the project not as a celebrity endorsement, but as a passionate advocate for the culture, craftsmanship and untamed spirit that Nocheluna represents. Together, they are the brand’s “Guardians of the Desert”, helping introduce one of Mexico’s best-kept secrets to the world.
